Ken McGowan
Director
After completing his B.Sc in Construction Management & Engineering, Ken worked briefly in Ireland before relocating to New York. Based in Manhattan, he managed high rise office refurbishments for clients including Calvin Klein, Redken 5th Ave, Deutsche Bank and Marsh McLennan.
He then moved to Australia where he focused his career on the construction of luxury homes on Queensland's Gold Coast.
Now married and a father of three, he and his family have settled in the North East of Scotland. He has spent the past ten years working on high end residential developments in the Aberdeen area where he both met and worked with Kenway Homes Co-Director Wayne Souter. He has built up strong relationships with sub-contractors and suppliers across the city and Shire who are as committed to detail & quality finishes as he is.
Wayne Souter
Director
After university, Wayne returned to Aberdeen to be the main contractor and designer on Aberdeen City's first certified Passivhaus. This house was designed and constructed without the use of an architect and achieved one of the lowest air test results ever achieved in the UK. This property was also awarded a commendation from the Aberdeen Civic Society for its design.
Following the Passivhaus build, Wayne went on to build on larger scale developments within Aberdeen and was involved in a mix of detached, semi-detached and apartment buildings.
Latterly he has returned to building high end bespoke homes. Working with clients across the North East to achieve the house of their dreams. He loves to see how clients put their stamp on each house and integrate all the things they desire to make it truly unique.
